When faith is faced with darkness, how will you respond?

Jupiter enters Leo on June 30, 2026, beginning a new 1-year cycle of courage, creativity, visibility, and heart-led expansion. But this is not a quiet entrance. Shortly after moving into Leo, Jupiter comes into opposition with Pluto in Aquarius, exact around July 20, just days after the New Moon in Cancer. A cosmic turning point is upon us.

Jupiter in Leo brings light, warmth, passion, creativity, play, and the desire to live more fully from the heart. It asks us to remember what makes us feel alive. It reminds us that joy is not frivolous. Joy is often the pathway back to the soul.

But as Jupiter faces Pluto, lord of the underworld, we are also asked to confront what has been hidden, suppressed, controlled, feared, or buried deep beneath the surface. This is where the lighter side of Jupiter meets the depths of transformation. We could say “ faith meets darkness”.

Pluto in Aquarius is not interested in surface-level change. Pluto wants transformation at the root. It exposes the places where we have given our power away, where we have been shaped by fear, where we have followed the crowd at the expense of our own truth, and where old systems, both personal and collective, no longer support the future we are here to build.

Then, by the end of July, the North Node moves into Aquarius and the South Node moves into Leo, beginning a new karmic storyline around individuality, community, belonging, visibility, and the courage to live authentically.

With the South Node in Leo, we may find ourselves looking at outdated patterns around attention, validation, performance, pride, creative expression, love, and the ways we have tried to be seen or loved by abandoning the deeper truth of who we are. Is this our “do or die” moment? Maybe. But not in the dramatic sense of failure or punishment. It’s more like enough performing, enough shrinking, enough chasing approval. In order to find our wings, we often have to jump!

We have to let go of the identities, habits, relationships, and attachments that no longer support who we are becoming, which speaks to Venus at the South Node. We have to release the outdated patterns of relating, loving, valuing, and surviving that once kept us safe but now keep us small. And that takes courage, real courage.

The kind that asks us to look honestly at our lives and recognize where we have outgrown the old story. There is great strength in realizing just how brave you truly are.

Jupiter in Leo also harmonizes with Saturn in Aries, offering support, structure, and momentum for this new cycle. Jupiter moves through the zodiac in approximately 12-year rhythms, and we can think back to 2014/2015, the last time Jupiter traveled through Leo. That cycle carried a different tone, as Jupiter in Leo was in a more difficult relationship with Saturn in Scorpio. But this time the fire is different.

Saturn in Aries gives Jupiter in Leo a foundation. It helps us build around courage. It asks us to take responsibility for our passion, our truth, our vitality, and the life we say we want. This is not just about dreaming bigger. It is about becoming strong enough to live in alignment with our truth. This cycle may feel freer, bolder, and more supportive. Yeah, you might actually feel MORE ALIVE!

It encourages each of us to be proud, strong, vibrant, creative, and honest about what we desire. A question that often comes up in consultations is, “What is my purpose?” My follow-up is usually, “What are you passionate about? What brings you joy?” They may sound like simple questions, but they are often met with silence. Or “I don’t know.”, “I’ve never really thought about it.” And maybe even, “I don’t know what I like anymore.” And that, my dear friends, is where this Jupiter cycle may begin its work.

Jupiter in Leo opposite Pluto in Aquarius may shake us awake. It may reveal where we have been living on autopilot, where we have dimmed our light, where we have been afraid to take up space, and where we have forgotten the simple medicine of joy. This is a cycle of re-inspiration.

Jupiter in Leo is not asking us to perform happiness. It is asking us to return to the truth of the heart. To play again. To create again. To believe again. To remember that being joyful, expressive, and alive is not selfish,  it is part of our spiritual responsibility.

The North Node in Aquarius reminds us that our light is not meant to exist in isolation. It belongs somewhere. It contributes to something greater. It becomes part of the future we are building together. But first, we must be willing to release the old performance. That old pride, that old need to be chosen or fully seen. Remember, to find our wings, you may have to jump, take a risk.
