Scorpio Full Moon: The Unveiling

Scorpio Full Moon – May 12, 2025:

This Scorpio Full Moon on May 12, 2025, finds its roots in the Scorpio New Moon of November 13, 2023—a potent lunar moment conjunct Mars. That new moon wasn’t just about planting seeds; it carried the fierce edge of Mars, Scorpio’s traditional ruler, emphasizing drive, willpower, and perhaps most significantly, the need to cut away what no longer serves. Mars is the planet of action, surgery, severing—and in the deep waters of Scorpio, it asks us to make bold, sometimes painful choices in order to begin again.

Now, the moon is full at 22° Scorpio, opposite Uranus—the planet of sudden revelations, upheaval, and liberation. What have we failed to cut away? What’s being illuminated now that was hidden back then? Uranus brings the shock factor, and this full moon could deliver surprising insights or unearth long-buried truths. This blog post itself might be one of those revelations.

Yet amidst the intensity, there’s also a softening. The Full Moon trines Saturn and the North Node in Pisces, lending structure, soul-alignment, and a whisper of reassurance: This is part of the path. Trust it. Move forward with ease and grace.

But ease and grace don’t always come easily to Scorpios. Scorpio wants depth. It wants all or nothing. It hides what’s raw and vulnerable. And sometimes, a Scorpio moon coaxes out what we’ve buried too long.

For me, that’s meant a secret I’ve held close, one I now feel ready to share—not just because the full moon compels me, but because the astrology has been guiding me to this moment all along.

As many astrologers do, I live with one eye on the sky and one on my own chart. My Solar Return last year, amplified by Mars retrograde, eclipses, and a chorus of transits shouting to my natal wheel, was crystal clear: Health. Health. Health.

I joked with students about my doctor’s advice—eat better, exercise more. I debated between a mammogram and thermography. But my chart was sounding the alarm, and in astrology, when a theme repeats across multiple layers, it’s time to listen.

So I did. I chose the mammogram—fittingly, a Uranus-ruled technology—and it revealed something unexpected: stage 0 breast cancer. A shock, yes, but also a gift. I’m grateful for the early detection and even more grateful for my trust in this sacred language. Astrology has never been about fear—it’s a divine mirror, a way to navigate the unseen, and to act with clarity when life’s path twists unexpectedly.

The road ahead includes surgery and healing. I’m holding clear intention and trusting in God, my surgeons, and divine timing. I’ll be taking a 4–6 week hiatus for recovery, likely beginning mid-June. Clients and students, thank you for your understanding. Friends, family, and the beautiful Half Moon Yoga team—your support means everything.

And finally, to those who’ve had profound sessions with me: if you feel moved to share your experience, please do. Astrology is a sacred tool—not for control, but for guidance. It helps us remember our power, our patterns, and our purpose.

This Full Moon in Scorpio may be intense, revealing, and even unsettling. But it also brings truth—and with truth, healing can begin.

Much Love,

Lisa
