Confronting What Needs Healing

The upcoming full moon in Aries brings an intense and fiery energy, urging us to break free from stagnation and face truths that can no longer be ignored. Aries, ruled by Mars, is all about action, courage, and self-assertion. Under this full moon, we are called to step into our power and confront the areas in our lives where we’ve been holding back. The pain of staying stuck, hiding behind comfort zones, is becoming more unbearable than the discomfort of confronting what needs healing. This lunar energy pushes us to be bold, embrace vulnerability, and face the inner wounds we’ve been avoiding.

This full moon is part of a larger cosmic narrative that began with the solar eclipse in Aries on April 8, 2024. Reflect on that auspicious time and take notice of the bigger story that has now reached a peak—fully visible, illuminated, and calling for healing. Themes of self-empowerment, independence, and personal truth that were activated during the solar eclipse are now fully in the spotlight. What came to light then now demands action.

Adding to the intensity is the upcoming Mars retrograde, which begins on December 7, 2024, moving from Leo back into Cancer. This retrograde will stir up unresolved emotions and push us to revisit how we respond and react, particularly in areas where we’ve struggled with vulnerability or have held onto pride. As Mars moves back through Leo, we may confront ego-driven responses, only to find that true healing lies in the nurturing energy of Cancer. This retrograde will reactivate the themes from both the solar eclipse and this full moon in Aries, urging us to integrate the lessons of courage and self-assertion with the need for emotional safety and healing.

These themes are beautifully mirrored in the lyrics of George Michael’s song, “Heal the Pain.” The song speaks to the vulnerability and pain we carry from past wounds, and the desire to be seen, loved, and healed. The lines, “Be good to yourself / ’Cause nobody else has the power to make you happy” reflect the full moon’s call to step into self-empowerment, to stop looking outside for validation, and to find healing from within. The lyrics also capture the tenderness of the Mars retrograde energy in Cancer, asking us to let love in and allow ourselves to be healed.

As we move through this full moon and into the upcoming retrograde, think of this cosmic moment as a journey of opening your heart to deeper truths. Just as the song invites, “Won’t you let me in / Let this love begin,” the universe is asking you to open yourself to transformation. True healing and growth come from this courageous blend of boldness and softness, of facing the fire within while nurturing the wounds that are ready to be healed.

Much love,

Lisa
